Sketch Challenge
To get back into drawing after having some time off, a friend and I decided to set ourselves a challenge to get back to drawing every day. Each week we choose a theme and for some weeks we also decide on promots to make a series of sketches before we choose one sketch at the end of the week to make an image. The Mediums we decide for ourselves. All sketchesfor the project can bee seen on my instagram account.

Week 1. Theme: Interior. We also decided to design the inside of caravans or camper vans. I used water color and colored pencil.

Week 2. Theme: product design. I added Potion bottles to change it up a bit. Mediums were water color for the background and gouache for the object itself.

Week 3. Theme: Arctic. Medium of the week was ink. Here I experimented with ink washes.

Week 4. Theme: Portrait. For this week, I tried to recreate old paintings and portraits. The figure in this drawing is Sarah Bernhart in her poster for Hamlet, created by Alphonse Mucha. Mediums: Gouache and ink.

Week 5. Theme: Cryptozoology. The creature in this image is Black Shuck, a ghostly dog seen in England. Mediums: Ink and gouache.
